New technology said to triple production for converters. Mapleroc Industries of Portland, Maine has developed the world's first production roll converting system that can process rolls without the need to unwind or rewind. The Rollrazor ™ precision roll converting system is said to convert up to 300% more rolls per hour than the traditional slitter/rewinder.
First announced publicly in the November 2006 issue Pulp and Paper Magazine, Mapleroc has seen a large increase in sales calls according to company president Todd Morrison. “We have had an excellent response from the article. Our sales office has been inundated with requests for videos, presentations and onsite demonstrations.”
